Northern Elite Osprey Baseball

"The Board of the Northern Elite Osprey made the decision recently to put launch plans on hold for one year in order to be better prepared in terms of infrastructure, sponsors and coaching.  All three locals, Midland, Muskoka and Orillia, remain committed to starting an elite baseball program in our region but it wont be until at least 2023-24.  Please contact Peter Haynes, President, if you have any questions." 

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Doug Beckett, President of Midland Penetang Baseball Association is being inducted into the Midland Sports Hall of Fame. Doug’s nomination was submitted by his peers from the Midland Penetang Baseball Association in addition to those from the Midland Minor Hockey Association and South Simcoe Minor Baseball Association.

Please join us as we congratulate Doug Beckett - MPBA President - on receiving the Affiliate Volunteer of the Year Award presented by Baseball Ontario - a most deserving recipient! Doug has been an integral member and leader of the MPBA executive for over 20 years, volunteering his time to ensure every season is a success. Be sure to congratulate Doug this upcoming season or if you see him out in the community. Congratulations Doug!

The minor baseball programs of Midland-Penetang, Orillia and Muskoka are pleased to announce a collaboration to offer elite baseball locally. Starting in the fall of 2022, the Northern Elite Osprey will join the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO), Baseball Ontario's highest level of competition, with a 15U team. Over the following two years, the program plans to add 16U and 18U teams and expects that the Osprey teams will be made up primarily of the top-level players from each of the three local community programs.
