Brad Bissell is a current coach (U13, and U11) and member of the Midland Penetang Baseball Association Executive. Brad grew up outside of Orangeville as a multi-sport athlete, excelling in volleyball, basketball and baseball. At 17 he decided to focus on baseball and played two seasons with Team Ontario. In 2001, he earned a silver medal at the Canada Summer games before heading to Charleston Southern University on a baseball scholarship. After college, Brad played professionally for the Edmonton Crackercats in the independent Northern League, and then pitched for a winter in Canberra, Australia before returning to play with the Barrie Baycats in the Intercounty Baseball League until 2019. Brad was named one of the top 100 players of the first 100 years of the IBL, and owns almost all pitching records for the Baycats. Brad is a high school teacher in Midland, where he lives with his wife and 4 children.
Ryan Davis is the Director of Player Development for the Muskoka Hornets, and Director of Edge Baseball Training in Barrie. Ryan grew up in Peterborough as a two sport athlete, excelling in both hockey and baseball. He chose to play baseball and went to junior college at Frank Phillips in Texas in 1998 and 1999 before finishing his four year degree at Missouri Valley College in 2000. He stayed at Missouri Valley an extra year as a Volunteer Assistant Coach. After college, Ryan played professionally in Australia before returning to play 6 years of semi-pro baseball with the Barrie Baycats. Ryan is a teacher in Orillia currently and is married, living in Shanty Bay with three kids.
